RESPONSIBLE

70% EUROPEAN PRODUCTION & a MAJOR PART OF EUROPEAN PRODUCT IS FRENCH

We are gradually reducing our footprint by offering pieces that incorporate sustainable, non-harmful, recyclable materials.

100% of our outdoor furniture is made out of aluminium – highly robust and fully recyclable.

100% of the timber used to make the furniture we’ll be releasing in 2023 will be FSC-certified.

We prioritise the use of solvent-free powder coating that releases no VOCs.

In the first half of 2023, we’ll use WARO tools (a French LCA independant specialist) to study the life cycle of our products in an effort to understand our environmental impact and define key areas for improvement.

DURABILITY

52% OF THE PIECES IN OUR COLLECTIONS OFFER A 5-YEAR WARRANTY

Right from the initial drawing, we seek out emerging talent which we select for their values, vision, and approach to making distinctive designs that are in synch with Petite Friture’s DNA and made to last beyond the boundaries of fashion and trends.

During design, we place great emphasis on quality, on the materials used and how a piece is assembled; it takes

18 TO 24 MONTHS for us to feel confident that all our requirements have been met.

In the way we market our products in the long term.

Our philosophy: continue to promote existing collections rather than constantly renew them, and always at a fair price.

PART OF A VIRTOUS CIRCLE

WE’VE CUT OUT ALL AIR TRANSPORTATION TO DISPATCH OUR GOODS.

We work with French partners as much as possible in order to both promote French know-how and limit our carbon footprint when it comes to transportation.

For example, the steel used in our collections is made and processed in France. Our Vertigo ceiling lamp is 100% made in France.

We offer A REPAIR SERVICE

we supply spare parts (electronic components, glass globes, plexiglass). In the long term, we aim to extend this offer to all the products in our catalogue.

We’re achieving progress on a daily basis.

CIRCULARITY

We design with repair and recycling in mind, by making it easier to disassemble the components in our products.

Whenever possible, we design our new lighting collections using a light source that can be replaced by the user or manufacturer.

We take extra caution in choosing the materials we use in our products to make sure they last as long as possible.

67% OF OUR FURNITURE IS EITHER MONO-MATERIAL OR CAN BE DISASSEMBLED AT THE END OF ITS LIFE CYCLE.

We’ll be holding special sales with attractive prices on display models or second-hand pieces.

PACKAGING

We limit our packaging to what is strictly necessary for protecting the product.

66% OF OUR PRODUCT CURRENTLY OFFER 100% RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

All of our cardboard packaging has a kraft look and feel and uses plant-based ink.

Our objective for 2024 is to cut polystyrene out from all our packaging.

Social and local engagement Social and local engagement

12 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP WITH APF FRANCE HANDICAP

In as early as 2010, manufacturing of the now iconic Vertigo suspension light was entrusted to APF France handicap (french non-profit fighting for disability rights) thereby laying the foundations of our commitment to helping others and advocating for an open and inclusive society built on solidarity. A society in which we live and coexist.

That commitment has grown over time. We now have a 30-strong workshop to finely craft the main parts of Petite Friture’s lighting collections.

Our social engagement with APF France handicap is more involved than ever before. It is now stronger thanks to more training and skills sharing. And above all, because we can show other brands that it is possible.

45TER, OUR SHOWROOM IN MONTREUIL

Our local engagement is embodied in 45ter – Petite Friture’s new space in Montreuil, on the outskirts of central Paris. To help the space come to life, we have nurtured partnerships with local creative talent organisations who strive to foster inclusion. We will take this further in the future, and 45ter will become a bridge between the local community and our wider international community of creatives, through workshops, conferences, and a whole range of events.

OUR DEDICATED PARTNERS SINCE 2022

  • Vincent Le Marre’s boutique is set up in La Caserne, an environmentally responsible centre that encourages creativity and conviviality. Friche Paris supplies our 45ter showroom’s flower compositions.

  • Café Joyeux is a fast-catering company that employs people with down syndrome and autism, among other disabilities. Petite Friture supplies Café Joyeux’s terrace and interior furniture. And the coffee on offer at our Montreuil showroom comes from Café Joyeux!

  • “Les marmites volantes” is an eco-friendly and socially engaged restaurant. The initiative is founded on a desire to contribute to the ecological transformation of society from a catering standpoint. No plastic packaging, just reusable utensils with a deposit system and 100% seasonal products delivered exclusively by bicycle.
