PROTECT CRAFTMANSHIP
When Petite Friture was founded, it had no aesthetic manifesto. At the time, its methodology was said to be born of intuition, fascination and conviction. Be that as it may, the aesthetic vision of Petite Friture is palpable; and the word ‘fascination’ was a deliberate choice. The brand’s origins lie in the passion that Amélie du Passage – Petite Friture’s founder – has for design and beauty at large. Through its collections and communication, Petite Friture boldly asserts its own distinctive aesthetic and a keen take on contemporary design.
Through the sincerity of its commitments, the perfect blend, Petite Friture wishes to find the best technical and human solutions to minimize its impact and bring out the good.
Transparency, respect, dialogue, support for collaborators and partners.
The brand is committed to preserving know-how and developing its collections in a sustainable approach.
TAVLA, A MODERN TAKE ON MARQUETRY
The table range TAVLA, which means « Backgammon » in Turkish and Iranian, is a contemporary reinterpretation of the ancestral gaming tables with their rich marquetry decorations.
Léa Padovani, a member of the Studio Pool duo alongside Sébastien Kieffer, has delved into her Iranian origins to create a refined version with a two-colour pattern, natural and black, in walnut wood. The TAVLA line is a tribute to this traditional craft. The collection displays two sizes of tables, n extandable table and a round one as well as a new model of coffee table. TAVLA is an invitation to sharing and conviviality, especially in its extendable version, which extends from 2 to 3 meters, suitable for large tables.
AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY COLLECTION
Tavla is a sustainable and eco-friendly collection:Wood panels contain 0% formaldehyde and are FSC-certified, which means that timber comes from controlled and managed forests (i.e., harvested timber is replaced in equal quantities).Glue and lacquer are all water-based, meaning they are the most environmentally friendly option available.Veneers are applied through cellulose pressing and processing, thereby producing a true veneer. Table elements can be separated and recycled. Wood tabletop and steel legs can be recycled separately.
